New Bombay: Reviews & Ratings
Mushroom cheese masala was very tasty though not extra hot as I requested. If you ask how spicy you want a dish, maybe then deliver too. Was delicious anyway. Chicken biryani was good. Chapati could have been better and same goes for the service.
I always go here for the Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Naan, and they always deliver! I appreciate that you can request to adjust the level of spiciness. Servers are very accommodating, too (though I usually eat here past 9PM, where there are fewer people), but so far, best customer experience compared to other branches.
I had a great experience at this restaurant. The ambiance was nice, and the food was quite good. The spice level was on the milder side with a slight sweetness, but it complemented the dishes well. The soups, especially the mutton and chicken ones, were incredible! The naan was fresh and soft, and the mushroom cheese masala was a standout dish for me. The mutton biryani was flavorful and cooked perfectly. While the service was just okay—not amazing, but not bad either—I still had a wonderful time enjoying the food with friends. Definitely worth a visit!
Amazing food and service! My family loved it. Served hot. Chicken biryani has a lot of meat.
Delicious, authentic Indian food! The mutton curry and garlic naan were amazing. Great service and cozy atmosphere—will definitely be back!
As a fan of Indian food, I was pleased to have a good restaurant within close walking distance from the office I was visiting. The restaurant is small, clean and not too crowded. Our table ordered the chicken and veggie samosas, chicken biryani, a mutton dish, chicken tikka masala, naan, and mango lassi. For dinners I've had in the local area, this was one of the best, but for Indian food, it was average (not a complaint.) The lassi was a little thin, but the biryani and tikka masala had great flavor with the right spice profile. Will eat here again on my next visit.
New Bombay is an Indian institution I’ve been eating in for years, but I haven’t eaten here in a long time until recently (as I live in a household that mostly doesn’t eat Indian food). While having the stigma of older restaurants getting updated & not being as good as before, eating here proved me wrong. All the food I ordered did not disappoint. I’m also glad they modernized their kitchenware, fixtures & interiors to keep up with the times. The only down side is that prices are just a little higher & portions got slightly smaller. Highly recommend to those looking for Indian food in the Salcedo area.
I recently ordered from New Bombay in Dela Costa, Makati, through Grab delivery, and every dish was absolutely delicious! • Tandoori Chicken (₱455.00): Tender, flavorful, and perfectly spiced, with a smoky char that elevated the taste. • Dal Makhni (₱425.00): Rich and creamy, with the right balance of spices that made it incredibly comforting and satisfying. • Chicken Biryani (₱520.00): Fragrant and well-seasoned, with tender chicken pieces that blended beautifully with the perfectly cooked rice. This place has maintained its consistency over the years. After 10 years, they still have the same amazing flavors that keep me coming back. All the dishes were outstanding and packed with authentic flavors. Highly recommended for anyone craving delicious Indian cuisine!

As highlighted by a delighted customer, Danyella P., one can't help but fall in love with the atmosphere of New Bombay. The lighthearted and engaging vibe is often complemented by Bollywood music videos playing on the TV, making it a fun dining experience. And while the culinary offerings are indeed tempting, be wary of the spiciness! Danyella learned this lesson the hard way but found joy in enjoying the milder flavors instead.
The Chicken Biryani is a standout dish that comes highly recommended. Prepared with aromatic basmati rice, tender chicken, and a medley of spices, it embodies the essence of Indian cuisine without overwhelming the palate. Pair it with one of their delightful lassis—the almond one, in particular, comes with Danyella's stamp of approval. It’s refreshing and perfectly balances the spices of the main courses.
New Bombay not only invites you to savor its culinary delights but also provides a welcoming space for friends and families to gather and share memorable meals. So whether you're a spice enthusiast or prefer your dishes on the milder side, you will surely find something to love at New Bombay.
